In Denver there is a Dover, but the customer service is horrendous. The only one I've found that I like is in Phoenix and I mosy like it because of the clothing section, not so much the tack. So, I mostly buy online, but I try to buy from smaller stores with a website when I can.Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16560432669562291616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-36651081320468799562014-09-19T15:03:58.092-07:002014-09-19T15:03:58.092-07:00I wish there was somewhere local that I liked and ...I wish there was somewhere local that I liked and wanted to support. Unfortunately there isn't, so almost all of my shopping is done online. There also in an option C though - mobile tack shops. Every few months I make a list and stop in but inevitably they're out of at least two things I NEED and don't have really have a selection of fun impulse buys (like a new saddle pad) that make continued stops while I wait for needed items worth the trip.
When I shop I'm usually buying from SP- they have a nice shipping policy and I think their site is very consumer friendly.
Wilbur, Ellie, and Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08620148609694352994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-61782417056880054072014-09-18T20:01:36.508-07:002014-09-18T20:01:36.508-07:00I want to vote but can't. I'm comforted by the fact that you DIDN'T ask for bridles per horse because then I would be embarrassed, haha Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14443209253064570063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-82949874755464811222014-09-17T16:57:27.285-07:002014-09-17T16:57:27.285-07:00I'm about 50-50, just like books. Like i recently special ordered riding gloves from a brick and morter. Could I have gotten them on SP sure, but then I'd need to wait for my SP so I could get free shipping vs paying for more. It helps I work by a nice tack store, it is nice i have a friend who works there too. And the tack store by our barn gives you 10% off if you ride wiht a trainer, I can also have my trainer pick things up and get charged later *(which works best for me) they don't always have what I want but I try to support them.L.Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05052638724440787772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-37448482182060446082014-09-17T15:38:10.987-07:002014-09-17T15:38:10.987-07:00I buy most of my stuff online because the variety ...I buy most of my stuff online because the variety is much wider. So probably majority online, with some in person purchases when it warrants it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-72861766125706967612014-09-17T10:32:22.228-07:002014-09-17T10:32:22.228-07:00I TRY to buy locally, but the best close tack shop...I TRY to buy locally, but the best close tack shop is horrible with ordering things in and since I'm tall and Stampede's large I would have to order in a lot.
For examply: I actually tried to order Ogilvy stuff through them last year in January and they first forgot to submit my order, then submitted it wrong. I called Jack Ogilvy and he brought my pads to Rolex for pickup in April!
That said I'm sure I still spend plenty of money there on various horse supplies, but the size issue tends to leave my more expensive purchases to be done online.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-85313793285693771932014-09-17T09:47:22.422-07:002014-09-17T09:47:22.422-07:00i'm with you on supporting local businesses.. ...i'm with you on supporting local businesses.. but the simplicity (and savings!) from online shopping is also pretty great. so i'm about 50-50. i definitely love consignment stuff too, but also ebay, ya know? i guess sometimes it just depends on the itememmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05686949099663199382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5371838582463916633.post-91449163113824224682014-09-17T09:08:42.467-07:002014-09-17T09:08:42.467-07:00Thank you for the heads up!
